BREAKING: Again, political leaders stage rally in support of Wike in Rivers [VIDEO]

Political leaders from various wards in Obio/Akpor are currently staging a solidarity march supporting the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike.

The protesters are currently at the Rumueme Civic Centre in Port Harcourt, where they called for the Inspector General of Police to maintain a strong presence in the councils and resist any form of intimidation.

The demonstrators reiterated the need for continued police oversight to ensure security and order within the councils.

They voiced their concerns over potential threats and urged the Inspector General to stand firm against any pressure that might undermine the stability in the state.

The protesters were also holding banners and placards expressing their unwavering support for Wike.

The protests were triggered by the sacking of Wike loyalists at the local councils by Governor Sim Fubara.

Fubara has since replaced the sacked council bosses even though the secretariats are still under lock and key.
