Elder statesman, Mr. Ahmed Joda is dead.
Joda, a northern elder statesman and former Federal Super Permanent Secretary died in Yola, Adamawa state on Friday afternoon.
His death has since been confirmed by friends and Family. Joda was a civil servant who rose to national prominence in 2015 when he headed the 2015 Transition Committee of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He retired as a Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industries under the military government of General Yakubu Gowon in the 1970s.
He was a chairman and board members of several companies like the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the Flour Mills of Nigeria, The Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG),etc.
He has also worked in the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission serving as the editor of NBC Kaduna and then joined the Northern Nigeria civil service as Chief Information Officer before becoming a permanent secretary in the regional Ministry of Information.
