A Japanese Airlines aircraft carrying at least 367 people still on board was on fire on a runway at Tokyo’s Haneda airport on Tuesday after a possible collision with a Coast Guard aircraft.
Live footage on public broadcaster NHK showed flames from the aircraft’s windows.
A spokesperson at Japan Airlines said the aircraft originated from Shin-Chitose Airport in Hokkaido.
According to initial reports, all passengers have been evacuated from the aircraft.
The aircraft is on fire with rescue operations underway.
