The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu has fired all aides of his deputy, Agboola Ajayi following the latter’s defection to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
POLITICS NIGERIA learned that Akeredolu’s move is coming a few days after Ajayi joined the PDP. Its widely known that both men have been at loggerheads for a while now.
Ajayi has also indicated interest to run against his former boss. Below are names of the aides disengaged by Akeredolu;
Olomu Bayo, special assistant, special duties;
Olawale Mukaila, special assistant, photography, Babatope Okeowo,
Deputy chief press secretary; Samuel Ogunmusi,
Personal assistant, (deputy governor), Omotunmise Tokunbo,
Special assistant to the wife of the deputy governor; and
Erifeyiwa Akinnugba, photography, wife of the deputy governor.
This development was revealed to the public via a press statement signed by Akeredolu’s media assistant, Segun Ajiboye.
The statement directed the affected aides are to submit all properties of the government in their possession.
