Razak Salinsile, one of the influential allies of former Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola, has turned down the position of Board Chairman of the Osun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) given to him by the Osun state government.
Salinsile was absent during the board chairmen and deputies’ swearing-in ceremony at the Governor’s office in Abere on Wednesday, July 27.
Asked by journalists why he was absent at the event, Salinsile explained that he turned down the appointment for personal reasons.
He was quoted to have said: “I declined it for personal reasons.”
Sources have gathered that his position has been filled by one of his associates, Tope Adeyemi.
Recall that Governor Adeleke appointed various board chairmen and vice chairmen.
The Governor’s spokesman, Olawale Rasheed, disclosed in a statement about a week ago: “Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has approved the appointment of chairmen and vice chairmen of non-statutory boards in the state. The appointments take immediate effect.”
