Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, has urged Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the Nigeria Peoples Party to join him in further probing the certificate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The former vice president made the comment in his opening remarks following the deposition of the Chicago State University (CSU) that the certificate Tinubu presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was not from the institution.
Atiku had kick-started the probe of the president’s educational qualifications at a Chicago state court which led to the academic credentials of Tinubu released to his lawyers.
The Adamawa-born politician also called on religious leaders, traditional rulers, and other well-meaning to join him to ”rescue our country from those that have determined to destroy the integrity of our nation because they want to rule at all cost.”
On why he is continuing with the legal battle, even outside the country, Atiku stated that “no individual is bigger than Nigeria.”
”No matter how fast a lie runs, the truth will overtake it,” Atiku further said in respect to the president’s certificate scandal.
