BREAKING: Atiku Reveals Reason for Visit to Former President Obasanjo

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has clarified the reason behind his visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 presidential election made the clarification while addressing journalists after a private meeting that lasted over two hours. According to him, the visit was purely a courtesy call.

“I was not in Abeokuta to see Obasanjo because of 2027,” Atiku stated. “It is a courtesy visit. I’m not going to talk about 2027 or politics. I’m not here because of 2027.”

Atiku has earlier in the day arrived at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta around 12:36 p.m. He was accompanied by political figures, including former governors Liyel Imoke (Cross River) and Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), as well as Oyewole Fasawe, a known close associate of Obasanjo.

Upon arrival, Atiku proceeded to the Penthouse section of the library, where he met privately with Obasanjo.
