Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 election, on Saturday won his polling unit.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the former vice-president won his polling unit PU 012, Ajiya, Gwadabawa ward, Yola North Local Government Area (LGA) of Adamawa State.
He had cast his vote in the morning, alongside his wife, Titi.
The 76-year-old garnered 282 votes, while his major opponents, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party received 57 and 6 votes respectively.
New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, had just one vote in the polling unit.
Earlier, this newspaper reported that one of Atiku’s main challengers, Tinubu, won his polling unit in Ikeja, Lagos.
Tinubu secured 33 votes while Obi scored seven votes, and Atiku, one.
