Gunmen, suspected to be bandits have killed two persons and abducted many others in Nigeria’s capital city, Abuja.
POLITICS NIGERIA learned that the gunmen attacked Munu, a community under Abaji area council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) around 1 pm on Tuesday.
According to a source, a provision shop and a drink joint were also looted by the gunmen during the operation that lasted for about an hour.
“Some mobile policemen deployed to our neighbouring community of Rubochi, where a Federal Government College is located visited us about 30 minutes after the operation and they promised to come back for fact-finding,” the source added.
As of the time of publishing this report, the Police Public Relations Officer in the FCT, DSP Josephine Adeh, was yet to respond to an inquiry from the press concerning the matter.
Apart from Kuje where several abductions occurred in the past, communities within Abaji have recently come under series of attacks and abductions.
