BREAKING: Bauchi governorship tribunal upholds Gov Bala Mohammed’s victory

The Bauchi state governorship election petition tribunal has affirmed the victory of Governor Bala Mohammed in the March 18th governorship election held in the state.

The tribunal dismissed the petition filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its governorship candidate, former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar (rtd).

After thorough deliberations and a careful review of the evidence presented by both parties, the tribunal declared that there was no substantial evidence to substantiate the claims made by the APC candidate.

It held that there was no strong reason to nullify the election, adding that it was conducted in compliance with the law.

The tribunal’s decision comes as a resounding affirmation of the electoral victory of Governor Mohammed in the keenly contested gubernatorial election held earlier this year.

The APC candidate can appeal the tribunal’s decision if they choose to pursue further legal action.

However, for now, Bauchi state remains under the leadership of Governor Mohammed.
