BREAKING: Boko Haram Attacks University of Maiduguri [PHOTOS]

Dreaded Terror Sect, Boko Haram attacked the University of Maiduguri(UNIMAID) on Sunday Night but were repelled by Galant soldiers of the Nigerian Army.

According to eyewitness reports from the university situated at Maiduguri-Bama road, Several gunshots were heard from the direction of the Female hostels sending residents into a Panic.

POLITICS NIGERIA learned that soldiers were immediately deployed to the area and a gun battle that lasted for over an hour ensued. A top army official confirmed that the attackers were indeed members of Boko Haram.

The situation caused panic among students who are in the middle of their second-semester exams. Many tried to leave the school premises but were stopped by security personnel who asked them to continue with their academic activities.

“But soldiers and other security personnel protecting the school urged them to remain in the campus because no one would be allowed back to the campus should they find the need to return,” a security source disclosed.
