Boko Haram insurgents loyal to the Jamā’at Ahl as Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihād, have brutally massacred at least 45 farmers in its latest bloodshed against civilians in the restive North East region of Nigeria.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the search for bodies continues after the terrorists on motorbikes attacked people while in their farms in Rann, the headquarters of Kala-Balge Local Government Area (LGA) in north eastern part of Borno State.
It is understood that dozens of the Boko Haram terrorists attacked the peasant farmers who were working in their fields with machetes and guns.
They encircled the farmers and held them hostage before executing them one after the other.
The bodies of some of the victims were dismembered while some were tied up and their throats slit by the terrorists.
The victims were buried on Monday with residents saying many others are yet to be accounted for.
There is no official comment yet from authorities.
