The second day of protests against hunger and bad governance in the country has begun in Port Harcourt, the capital city of Rivers State.
Protesters in Port Harcourt say they are marching from Pleasure Park to the Federal Secretariat, where they intend to hold a rally.
In various parts of the country, the protests, which began peacefully on Thursday, took a violent turn as miscreants embarked on looting and destruction of properties.
There have also been reports of killings in Niger State, Lagos State, and the FCT, Abuja.
