The councillor for Ethiope-East Local Government Council in Delta State, Jude Adjekpovu has died from gunshot wounds sustained from an attack by suspeced bandits 12 days ago.
The attack happened along Eku/Abraka Road in Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State, when Adjekpovu was on his way back from an event.
POLITICS NIGERIA gathered that the lawmaker died on Thursday morning at a private hospital where he had been receiving treatment since Saturday, December 4, when he was shot.
The attackers were said to have blocked the Eku-Abraka Road, around 5:30 pm on that weekend and fired several shots at the councillor’s car.
He was reportedly hit in the stomach.
