The Deputy Speaker of the Edo state House of Assembly has been impeached.
Yekini Idiaye was impeached on Wednesday after declaring support for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the upcoming Guber elections, Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

Idiaye is the lawmaker representing Akoko-Edo Constituency 1 in the assembly.
