The Economic and Financial crimes commission, EFCC has arrested the Director General of KASUPDA, Ismail Umaru Dikko.
On Monday morning, Officers of the anti-graft agency stormed the headquarters of the Kaduna State Urban Planning Development Agency (KASUPDA) and arrested Dikko, whicking him away to their zonal office in the state.
Dikko, was a Special Assistant to Governor Nasir El-Rufai, before he was promoted to head the agency in 2019. Eyewitness reports reveal there was some commotion before the DG was arrested and conveyed in a black Hilux Toyota vehicle of the EFCC.
It was learned that the agency had extended invitations to Dikko which he did not honour. Sources added that two officials of KASUPDA accompanied the DG and the EFCC operatives.
