Billionaire businessman and owner of Twitter, Elon Musk has reinstated President Donald J. Trump’s account on the social media giant.
Elon announced early on Sunday morning that he will be reinstating Trump’s account after running a poll on the platform that saw many vote in support of the move.
Out of over 15 million votes, 51.8% voted in support of bringing back the controversial former President.
It can be recalled that Trump was banned from almost all major social media platforms for reportedly inciting his supporters to violently protest and invade the US capitol shortly after the presidential Elections in 2021.
A check on the Trump’s Twitter account shows that it is now active again.
