Suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police Abba Kyari was on Thursday, July 6, granted bail by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
Recall that Kyari’s bail application in February was turned down by the Court of Appeal in Abuja.
The appeal sought the reversal of an earlier ruling of a Federal High Court in FCT which refused to grant his request for bail.
Kyari spent one year in detention before his release by the Federal High Court in the Nigerian capital.
He was inside the Kuje Prison when Boko Haram terrorists attacked the correctional facility last year, but escaped unhurt.
