The federal government has revealed its plans to commence the disbursement of student loans starting from September and October.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that David Adejo, the Permanent Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Education, made this announcement during a press conference held in Abuja on Wednesday.
Responding to queries from journalists, Adejo disclosed the government’s commitment to providing students with access to interest-free loans. This move aims to support students in their pursuit of education and alleviate the financial burden associated with tertiary education.
The bill granting students access to interest-free loans was recently signed into law by President Bola Tinubu on Monday.

This is good and kind gesture by the Federal Government.It will go long way in supporting students in their academic pursuit, but the requirements towards accessing the loan should also favor this indigent students.
