BREAKING: FG declares Monday, Tuesday Public Holiday

The Nigerian Government has declared Monday, May 25th and Tuesday, May 26th 2020 public holidays to mark the Eid al Fitri Celebrations.

This was contained in a statement from the Ministry of Interior headed by Rauf Aregbesola.

The statement signed by the ministry’s Press director, Manga Mohammed admonished Muslim faithful to replicate the life of Holy Prophet Muhammad(SAW).

The Minister urged Nigerians to see themselves as a ‘single entity’ and learn to tolerate one another despite their ethnic and religious differences. He also condemned recent ethnic conflicts in Northern Nigeria.

He also explained that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari was battling the COVID-19 Pandemic head-on. He also advised Muslim faithful to adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines and regulations.
