BREAKING: FG unveils hotel at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport worth N115,000 per night

The Federal Government of Nigeria has inaugurated the first-ever hotel located at the main building of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja.

The hotel, Sami Court, was unveiled by Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development.

The minister highlighted that the hotel’s management has been a longstanding stakeholder in Nigeria’s aviation sector, and this initiative is aimed at improving passengers’ comfort during transit.

He emphasized that collaboration with the private sector is part of the government’s policy to enhance passengers’ experiences and comfort in the aviation sector.

Keyamo also expressed that this unveiling is not a one-time event but part of the new management team’s efforts to attract private sector investments into the airport and aviation sector.

He hinted at more packages and initiatives in the coming months to further improve services.

The Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Olubunmi Oluwaseun Kuku, provided details about Sami Court Airport Hotel.

She said the hotel features 22 rooms equipped with amenities to ensure passengers’ comfort. Each room is equipped with free Wi-Fi, a Smart TV, and a mini-fridge. The standard room is priced at N115,000.00.

According to government officials, introducing a hotel within the airport premises aims to enhance the overall travel experience for passengers and improve aviation infrastructure in the country.
