A container fell off a truck on Monday night and landed on a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) and a commercial vehicle at Igando area of Lagos State.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the impact of the stumble ignited fire at the scene – in front of Omark School, by Dapson Bus-Stop, Akesan, Igando.
Two persons were reportedly rescued alive while the fate of others was unknown as of the time of publishing this report.
The fire which caused vehicular traffic was later put out.
Vanguard quotes Ibrahim Farinloye, the South-West Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) as saying, “Report of a fire outbreak was reported from the scene. Two persons have been rescued alive by residents.”
Last year, 70 lives were lost to fire incidents in Nigeria.
