The Maiyaki (Estu) of Kupa, Alhaji Mohammadu Kabir Isah (11), is dead, POLITICS NIGERIA reports.
Kabir Isah, the custodian of the culture of Kupa land passed away after over 42 years on the throne.
This newspaper gathered that the monarch breathed his last at a private hospital in Bida, Niger State, on Sunday.
Until his death, he was the Vice-Chairman of the Lokoja Traditional Council.
The late first-class traditional ruler was a respected traditional ruler in Nupeland.
Reacting to his demise, Bashorun Moses Deola Eseyin, the Kogi West Senatorial flagbearer of Accord Party in the 2023 general elections, condoled the entire people of Kupa land over the exit of their traditional ruler.
In his condolence message made available to this newspaper on Tuesday, Eseyin said that the monarch would be remembered for his lifelong dedication to the development of his people.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed.
