Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, alongside four other aspirants, has lodged an appeal challenging the victory of Governor Aiyedatiwa in the just concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election.
The appeal by the aggrieved aspirants demanded the cancellation of the primary and the conduct of a fresh election.
Former governor of Bauchi State, Abdullahi Abubakar, leads the APC primary appeal committee.
So far, the committee has received petitions from Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, Folakemi Omogoroye, Olugbenga Edema, Jimi Odimayo, and Wale Akinterinwa.
Notably, Governor Aiyedatiwa has yet to receive any congratulatory messages from the other fifteen candidates who participated in the primaries.
The APC Primary Appeal Committee is tasked with reviewing the petitions submitted by the aspirants and determining the appropriate course of action.
