The Biafra Nations League (BnL) on Friday stated that if the Federal Government of Nigeria desires peace in the country; it must obey the Appeal Court’s order and release Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), immediately.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that at a Press Briefing on Friday afternoon in Calabar Cross River State, Princewill Chimezie Richards, the leader of the group warned of more insurrections in the southeast.
“For this government to enjoy peace, we demand that the court order and right to self-determination be respected,” Richards said.
“In conclusion, therefore, we the officials of the BNL family, in conjunction with all our entire members, drawn from the various ethnic nationalities of Biafra extraction, hereby demand that Mr Nnamdi Kanu be allowed to go home, as ordered by the court.
“And this should be done in a few days from now. Hence, there will be an increase in the revolt against the state.”
It is a good thing for him to be affected also because, when he was in power, he only favoured the northern part of the country and forgot us the South-South region. This will be a lesson to him that charity begins at home, when next he has such opportunity, he will use it judiciously.
