
The remains of former President Muhammadu Buhari have arrived in Katsina State ahead of his burial in his hometown, Daura.
The body was flown into the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua International Airport in Katsina on Tuesday afternoon at approximately 1:59 p.m. aboard a Nigerian Air Force aircraft.
The body of the late former President was accompanied by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, and members of his family.
Buhari, who died on Sunday in London at the age of 81, is scheduled to be laid to rest today in accordance with Islamic rites.
