BREAKING: Former Presidential Candidate, Moghalu speaks on decamping to APC

Former Presidential Candidate of the YPP, Kingsley Moghalu has reacted to rumours that he dumped the party for the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Moghalu announced his departure from the YPP on Monday citing the need for Electoral Reform. In his words;

“Without electoral reform, which includes electronic voting, our democracy will remain weak. Let’s fix this before 2023. Partisan politics won’t fix this problem. To this end, I’ve resigned my membership of YPP.”

“Nigeria today is approaching its moment of reckoning. We need to focus on solving our problems at their root causes.”

However, he responded to rumours that he left the party to join the APC after being offered an appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari. He tweeted;

“I did not receive any appointment from the APC administration! Chief George Moghalu (no relation), an APC stalwart, did! Not fair to be crucified on the basis of mistaken identity or coincidence of names.!”
