BREAKING: Global IT outage Disrupts Airlines, Banks, Broadcast Stations

A massive global outage has brought businesses to a halt, affecting banks, airlines, telecom providers, broadcast networks, and supermarkets.

The widespread disruption has left companies unable to operate online.

According to reports, major airlines in the US such as Delta, United, and American Airlines experienced a system-wide ground stop on Friday morning due to a technical communication issue. Passengers at Edinburgh Airport in Scotland faced difficulties using automated boarding pass scanners, with security monitors displaying a “server offline” message.

In the UK, Govia Thameslink Railway’s four brands – Southern, Thameslink, Gatwick Express, and Great Northern – reported widespread IT failures, impacting their services. Sky News was briefly taken off air, leaving viewers without access to its broadcast.

The IT disruptions have hit three Indian airlines, while a technical problem has suspended flights at Berlin Brandenburg Airport.

There are reports that all Spanish airports are grappling with an IT outage. Microsoft 365 users have also experienced difficulties accessing cloud-based apps.
