A library named after Olusola Saraki, father of former Senate President, Bukola Saraki has reportedly been demolished on the orders of the state governor, AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq.
The popular library was pulled down by state officials for yet-to-known reasons.
Reacting to the development via Twitter, Saraki wrote;
“Wow! I just got the news that the major official assignment carried out by the governor of my state, Kwara, today, is the demolition of an old public library named after my late dad, Dr. Olusola Saraki.”
“May Almighty Allah continue to retain a place for Oloye in Aljannah Firdaus.”
More to come….
How can an educated man demolish a library.
Could this true ? If this is true, then it is becoming irresponsible politics.
Even if for the sake of allowing the sleeping dogs lie, this demolition should not have been done by the government of Abdrahman Abdrzaq again except for the purpose of rebuilding or upgrading it.
What a politics of bitterness!why should the Kwara state governor do this?If former governor Olubukola Saraki had offended him,was it right for the governor to make people of his state who supposed to be beneficiary from such an infrastructure then suffer for it and made them becoming the victims when the governor demolished the library.To me such an act by the governor abdurasak of Kwara state was very cruelty to the people that voted him to be their in governor in that state not to the family of Saraki.
