Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has announced the re-appointment of Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi as the new Emir of Kano.
The announcement was sequel to an earlier meeting of the kingmakers of Kano at the Government House.
The governor made the announcement after signing the new emirate council law at Government House, Kano, on Thursday, May 23.
Governor Yusuf signed the law alongside his deputy, the speaker of the State House of Assembly and other principal officers in the government.
Recall that former governor Abdullahi Ganduje had dethroned Sanusi in 2020, following after a personal rift.
But things took a new twist on Thursday when the assembly repealed the Kano Emirate Law of 2019 which dethroned Sanusi.
The newly passed bill abolishes the five emirates and “all the appointments or offices arising therefrom”.
The bill also stipulates that the governor should restore the previous Kano emirate system.
NOW, THE CARNAGE TO RESUME.
Foolish politicians want to reap from designed UNREST.
