BREAKING: Guinness World Record Updates Verdict on Chef Hilda Baci’s 100-Hour Cooking Marathon

The Guinness World Record has issued an update regarding Chef Hilda Baci’s remarkable attempt to break the record for the longest cooking marathon, which lasted an impressive 100 hours.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that in an official publication on their website, the Guinness World Record acknowledged the widespread attention that Hilda Baci, also known as Hilda Bassey, has garnered since commencing her cooking marathon.

According to the publication, the Guinness officials responsible for record verification are eagerly awaiting the submission of evidence and anticipate being able to confirm Hilda’s achievement as a new record in the near future. However, no specific date for the verdict announcement has been provided.

A spokesperson from the Guinness World Records stated, “We are aware of the record attempt and are looking forward to receiving the evidence for our Records Management Team to review before we can officially confirm the record.”

Hilda Baci aims to claim the title for the longest cooking marathon (individual), currently held by Lata Tondon from India, who achieved a time of 87 hours and 45 minutes.

During her 100-hour culinary feat, Hilda reportedly prepared an impressive array of 55 recipes and over 100 meals, showcasing the diversity of Nigerian cuisine.

In an interview with CNN, Hilda expressed her motivation for taking on this challenge, stating, “Nigerian cuisine is the best out there. The more recipes are propagated, the more people will be willing to try it. Nigerian food is such comfort food.”
