Unknown Gunmen have stolen ballot boxes in Aguata area of Anambra state, POLITICS NIGERIA has learned.
Information made available to this newspaper reveals that gunmen attacked a polling unit at Immaculate Heart, Ekwulobia, Aguata carting away ballot boxes and other election materials.
They reportedly attacked officails of the Electoral Commission halting the entire exercise.
This was confirmed by Peoples Democratic Party on Saturday via its Twitter handle
“In Aguata LGA, Immaculate Heart Ekwulobia. Unidentified armed men have invaded the polling unit, attacked party agents, electoral officers and made away with the ballot boxes and other electoral materials.”
“Voting has been cancelled.”
