In what can be described as another tragedy in Nigeria, a local government chairman has been abducted by unknown gunmen.
The incident occurred on the Takum-Wukari road in Kofan Amadu.
The victim of the latest attack has been identified as the chairman of Takum local government area of Taraba state, Mr Boyi Manja. Also, the criminals killed his police orderly during the attack.
Politics Nigeria reports that the incident happened at about 3pm on Sunday while the chairman was travelling in his official vehicle.
According to reports, many travellers had been killed and several others abducted in the past years in the same spot.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the Taraba State Police Command, SP Usman Abdullahi, confirmed the latest incident.
