BREAKING: Hilda Baci Completes 100 Hours of Nonstop Cooking, Sets New World Record

Nigerian chef Hilda Baci has smashed the previous world record for a cook-a-thon by completing an incredible 100 hours of non-stop cooking, earning her a coveted spot in the latest edition of the Guinness Book of World Records.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the impressive feat beat the previous record of 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds set by Chef Lata Tondon in Rewa, India in 2019.

Hilda had originally aimed to complete a 96-hour cook-a-thon and was due to finish at 4 pm Nigerian time on Sunday, May 14th. However, after receiving tremendous support from her fellow Nigerians at the event, which took place at the Amore Gardens in Lekki, she was granted a four-hour extension and completed a full 100 hours of cooking before stopping at 8 pm.

The cook-a-thon competition began on Thursday, May 11th, and saw Hilda impress the judges and spectators alike with her remarkable culinary skills.

The previous titleholder cooked for 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 secs.

Her achievement has been hailed by many as a testament to her dedication and passion for cooking.
