Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, has reacted after losing her Guinness World Record title for the longest cooking marathon by an individual to an Irish chef.
Politics Nigeria reports that the Guinness World Records had announced Alan Fisher, an Irish chef, as the newest holder of the title in a tweet on Tuesday.
Fisher cooked continuously for 119 hours 57 minutes, surpassing the previous record of 93 hours 11 minutes set by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci earlier this year.
The Irishman also claimed the record for longest baking marathon, baking for 47 hours and 21 minutes, beating the prior record of 31 hours and 16 minutes.
In a swift reaction on Twitter, Hilda Baci congratulated Fisher for attaining such great feat.
She wrote: “Huge congratulations to Alan Fisher! 119hrs 57mins is a huge achievement, and I wish him all the best as the new world record holder!”
