
Immediate past national secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and governorship aspirant in Akwa-Ibom State, Senator John James Akpanudoedehe, has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC).
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Akpanudoedehe announced his decision in a letter dated 4th June, 2022 and addressed to the APC Chairman of his Offot Ward 6, Uyo in Akwa Ibom State.
Akpanudoedehe’s resignation letter reads in part: “I write to notify you of my resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC), forthwith.
“Henceforth, I cease to be a member of the APC in my ward (ward 6 in Uyo LGA) or anywhere for that matter. I hereby relinquish all rights which inured to me as a member of the APC, member of the National Advisory Council and member of National Caucus of the APC.”
Meanwhile, the 58-year-old, did not reveal the party he is joining.
Until March 2022, Akpanudoedehe was the national secretary of the APC. He worked with the Governor Mai Mala Buni-led Caretaker and Extra-ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC).
The APC Special Convention where its presidential flagbearer for the 2023 election will emerge, will commence soon.
