The Nassarawa state house of Assembly has been shut down following the death of a popular lawmaker, Adamu Suleiman from COVID-19.
POLITICS NIGERIA gathered that the state governor, Abdullahi Sule has ordered the immediate shutdown of the state house of assembly complex and immediate quarantine of all lawmakers including staff.
The late lawmaker suddenly fell sick last Thursday and was died in the early hours of Friday. NCDC officials took his samples and the test results returned positive.
Eyewitness reports reveal that he had interactions with several people and attended different meetings within the assembly complex.
The late Suleiman represented the Nasarawa Central constituency. The state has so far recorded nine confirmed cases of Coronavirus with one death.
