The House of Representatives has passed the revised 2020 federal budget of N10.8 trillion, POLITICS NIGERIA reports.
The lawmakers, during Wednesday plenary session, raised the appropriation bill by N300 billion from the initial N10.5 trillion.
The lower chamber also included N4 billion vote to address the grievances of Resident Doctors who are threatening to embark on industrial action, thereby increasing the figure submitted to the House by the Finance Committee.
The lawmakers also approved President Muhammadu Buhari’s request for $5.5 billion external loan.
The President had presented a revised 2020 appropriation of N10.59 trillion to the National Assembly for approval.
