BREAKING: House of Reps reshuffles four committee chairmanships

The House of Representatives announced a reshuffle of four of its committees, moving their chairmen to new roles today.

The former Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Hon. Abdulmumini Jibrin (NNPP, Kano), has been reassigned to head the Committee on Housing and Habitat.

In his place, Hon. Oluwole Oke has been moved from the Committee on Judiciary to become the new Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Additionally, the former Chairman of the Committee on Housing and Habitat, Hon. Aminu Balele, has been reassigned as the Chairman of the Committee on Army.

Meanwhile, Hon. Abdullah Mamuda has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Committee on Judiciary, moving from his previous position.

The Speaker of the House, Abbas Tajudeen, who announced the changes, emphasized that the reshuffle was aimed at ensuring the effective and efficient running of the House.

He said the reshuffle is expected to bring fresh perspectives and renewed energy to the respective committees, enhancing their contributions to the legislative process and governance in Nigeria.
