Hardship: Nigerians suffering from the choices they made during elections – PDP chieftain

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo state, Stanley Ekezie, has linked the prevailing economic hardship across Nigeria to the choice made by voters.

Ekezie, who said this during an interview in Owerri, the state capital, added that Nigerians collected peanuts from politicians in exchange for good governance.

“Blame Nigeria’s electorate for the current economic crisis. Nigerians prefer to take peanuts in lieu of good governance,” Leadership quoted him as saying.

According to him, during the last elections, there was massive vote buying, and voters were busy collecting money and allowing politicians to rig themselves into government.

Ekezie said Nigerians lamenting the economic hardship should have known that their wrong choices would result in difficult times.

He said everything would remain the same on the economic front if Nigerians continue to elect unqualified people into public offices.

“The situation will persist so long as the wrong people continue to occupy the seat of power.

“2027 is another opportunity for Nigerians to choose the best leaders,” he added.
