Former Governor James Ibori of Delta state has said that he will appeal the UK’s court confiscation order of about £100 million loot allegedly linked to him.
In a post on his Facebook wall on Friday, July 21, noted that the ruling from Judge Tomlinson is difficult to comprehend and even harder to accept.
He went on to state that if he fails to contest the verdict, his people will think he is a madman, and wondered if it is madness on his part if he continues to believe that he will get justice eventually.
His words:
“At this point in time words fail me and so the question for me as I take my case to the Court of Appeal, is, if I continue to believe that I may finally get some justice is this the definition of madness?
“I know one thing for sure, that if I do not go to the Court of Appeal to contest this outrageous order then my people will definitely say that I am a madman.”
