Politics Nigeria can authoritatively report that the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, is currently in Jos, the Plateau State capital.
The IGP arrived Jos on Friday afternoon following the killing of over 200 persons in coordinated attacks by suspected armed herders in fifteen rural communities of the state on Christmas eve.
The IGP is expected to meet with key stakeholders including the governor.
The IGP has also ordered the deployment of tactical teams, equipment, relocation of AIG Zone 4 to Plateau State with immediate effect.
