The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun has announced the redeployment of Imo Police commissioner, Mohammed Barde, ahead of the governorship election.
The IGP disclosed this on Sunday night during an appearance on ChannelsTV programme, Peoples Townhall monitored by Politics Nigeria.
“I am aware that there have been allegations on social media against the Commissioner of Police in Imo State but for this election, we are changing the commissioner of police in Imo,” the Police boss said.
The IGP warned criminals to stay away from Imo, Kogi, and Bayelsa polls adding that it won’t be business as usual.
