The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Kaduna State is set to deliver its judgment via Zoom today.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the courtroom has been set up with a provision for transmission of the judgment proceeding via Zoom.
The petition was brought before the tribunal by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Isah Mohammed Ashiru, against the election of Uba Sani of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as Governor.
There is also tight security at the premises of Kaduna State High Court, Kawo Kaduna, where the tribunal sits.
The tribunal is expected to decide whether or not to uphold the election of Uba Sani as Governor.
Recall that a similar setting took place last Wednesday where the governorship election petition tribunal in Kano sacked Abba Yusuf, candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), as governor of the state.
The tribunal, in its judgement delivered via Zoom, also affirmed Yusuf Gawuna of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the duly elected governor of Kano.
