Former Governor Abdullahi has been summoned by the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) for questioning regarding the controversial dollar videos.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that these videos, which emerged in 2017, allegedly show Ganduje receiving kickbacks from contractors.
At the time, the then-governor denied the accusations, asserting that the videos had been tampered with.
However, in a recent report by this newspaper, it was revealed that during the ‘A One Day Public Dialogue on Anti-Corruption Crusade in Kano’ held on Wednesday, Barrister Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado, Chairman of the PCACC, confirmed the authenticity of the incriminating videos.
Rimingado stated that since the footage was released, sceptics had challenged him to provide evidence either proving or disproving the former governor’s involvement. He further disclosed that an investigation had been initiated by the commission in 2018 but was impeded by Ganduje’s immunity as governor.
This newspaper learnt that Ganduje has now been called in for questioning.
This was confirmed by Rimingado during a program on Thursday.
