Nigerian singer Burna Boy has taken a fresh jab at fellow Afrobeats star Davido, referring to him as a ‘joke’.
The incident happened when Burna Boy, on social media platform X, responded to a comment criticising him for not winning any Grammy Awards at the recent ceremony.
A fan, presumably a supporter of Davido, wrote, “Ode, bottled four Grammys,” Burna Boy replied saying, “The actual joke is in your display pic.” This triggered reactions from many who interpreted it as a dig at Davido, whose picture the fan used as their profile image.
While the comment was later deleted after the fan changed his display picture from Davido to the ‘African Giant,’ it sparked heated discussions online.
