Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has sanctioned a proactive measure to aid civil servants and pensioners due to the fuel subsidy removal.
Governor Radda has given the green light for a special N10,000 allowance allocation to civil servants and N5,000 allowance provision for pensioners in the state.
The decision aims to cushion the impact of the subsidy removal, which has caused economic hardship in the country.
”This action was in continuation of his commitment to workers’ welfare and fulfilment of a pledge for the gradual rollout of palliative measures to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal,” a statement from the state government noted.
