Everything is not looking good for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi state ahead of the governorship election as another member of the state working committee, Stephen Onoji, has resigned his membership of the party.
Until his infamous resignation, Onoji served as the Kogi State PDP Youth Leader.
In a letter addressed to his ward chairman, Odolu Ward 6, Odolu, in Igalamela Odolu LGA, dated Wednesday, July 19, 2023, Onoji extended his appreciation to the party for the opportunity and privileges given him to serve as a member.
Since Senator Dino Melaye emerged candidate of the PDP for the November 11 governorship election in Kogi state, the opposition party has been enmeshed in crisis.
Politics Nigeria understands that prominent PDP stakeholders in Kogi state have tendered their resignation as they continued to express their grievances over the outcome of the governorship primary, which produced Melaye as the party’s candidate.
