The Labour Party (LP) has commenced preparation for a possible rerun election.
This was disclosed to journalists by Obiora Ifoh, National Publicity Secretary of the party.
According to him, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) had already commenced preparation for a rerun, so there is a need for the LP to start making preparation as well.
Going further, he insisted that the national chairman of the Labour Party, Barrister Julius Abure, is already aware of the development.
He added that Abure also called on the over 10 million members of the party to be on the alert and get ready further to humiliate APC and its government in the polls.
Abure was quoted to have said:
“Rumours have it that those in government are already planning for a rerun, and this is one of the support we will be canvasing from you.
We should also be getting prepared because since all those in government are already preparing for a rerun, we, too, should not be taken unawares.
“So we will need your engagement and support on this aspect if par adventure it happens today, that the election is nullified, which is not what we are asking for because we are asking for an outright declaration of Peter Obi as the President of Nigeria.
“We believe strongly that we won that election given the statistics we have, given the result we have, we are not expecting anything less than the declaration of Peter Obi as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“But supposing that didn’t happen as the government is believed to be planning for a rerun, it will not also be out of place for us to prepare for a rerun election.”
The LP also insisted that following their outing at the tribunal, the outcome of the presidential election petition tribunal will come out in favour of Obi.
The statement added:
“Having said this by the side, I must say clearly that we have put all our evidences before the court; we are very hopeful that the tribunal will act in our favour.
“And we are very hopeful that supposing the matter gets to the higher court, the Supreme Court, in this case, it will also act in our favour. We are keeping our hope and confidence alive.”
It is just that the resources invested in the that election was huge. If not, the best thing would have been to cancel the election entirely. For me, the tribunal should look at the results state by state. Cancel some, retain some and there by take a general decision based on the valuable votes.
You are just another delusional fellow focused on and fixated on a mirage.
WAKE UP FROM YOUR SLUMBER, LITTLE BARAIN.
Are you not tired of doing aimless road walks ” chere renche Obi(x2) and clawning around social media platforms?
The Tribunal ought to cancel all the votes of Tinubu and that of Atiku and uphold only the votes of HE Peter Obi and swear him in as the rightful winner of the 2023 Presidential election.
Any other thing is not acceptable isn’t it?
It is. ..
Result will be cancelled after 8yrs of Tinubu ins Allah. Your mumu never do u?
DELUSSIONAL DUNCES!
They have not Lule-pi Elu-pi enough.
Clowns everywhere. Delusional disorder people. You better face reality that Obi cannot contest any election till another 8 years if at all.
political power is not served in a resturant or alacate. You grab it, steal it and run with it……. ATIKU and OBI SHOULD REMEMBER THIS. Incase of any rerun. That is what happened to bring this case where we are now.
