BREAKING: Labour Party Finally Reacts to EU’s Report on 2023 Elections

The Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council commended various observer missions over their reports on the last presidential election in Nigeria, especially the European Union Election Observer Mission.

In a press statement released on Thursday, July 13, made available to Politics Nigeria, Director General of the Campaign Council, Otumba Akin Osuntokun, hailed the foreign observer missions, including that of the EU, for the consistency in their experiences and exposition.

He said such reports led to one conclusion: “The fact that the elections fell short of citizens’ expectations, legal regulations, and moral and international standards.”

Osuntokun noted that the European Union Election Observer Mission presented a comprehensive and analytical report.

He noted that the EU Election Observation Mission is an INEC-accredited observer group and a very credible and long-standing international and local stakeholder in the Nigeria democratic process, whose report is an essential contribution towards strengthening Nigeria’s democracy.

Osuntokun urged Nigerians to patiently, keenly, and peacefully follow the legal process to a final resolution.
